Features

The Marelux Artemis 4500RMT 2.0 is the ultimate underwater wireless triggering and lighting solution. Designed for maximum versatility, this model comes in two specialized versions running dedicated firmware:

1. Artemis 4500RMT 2.0-V: Tailored for remote video light control.

2. Artemis 4500RMT 2.0-S: Engineered for wireless strobe triggering.

While both versions share an identical, ultra-compact physical design.

Key Features & Technological Breakthroughs

1. Premium 4500-Lumen COB Video Light

The heart of the Artemis features a single high-quality Chip-on-Board (COB) LED source that delivers 4,500 lumens of light across a wide 120 degrees beam angle. This provides smooth, edge-to-edge coverage perfect for spotting and short-to-mid-range underwater videography.

• CRI 95 (Color Rendering Index): A higher CRI means the artificial light spectrum closely mimics natural sunlight. With a rating of 95, this light accurately restores the true, vibrant colors of your underwater subjects.

• 5000K Color Temperature: Water rapidly absorbs lower-frequency, long-wavelength colors like red and yellow while allowing blue and green to pass through. The slightly warm 5000K temperature perfectly counteracts this natural filtration, restoring a natural, balanced look to your footage.

2. Dual-Purpose Targeting & Signal LEDs

The central COB light is symmetrically ringed by small blue LEDs. These serve a dual purpose:

• Fluorescence Targeting: They emit a specialized blue light that makes the natural bio-luminescence of various sea creatures pop.

• Wireless Shutter Control: They act as encrypted signal emitters for remote shutter control, allowing you to trigger a camera house several meters away. This enables you to safely capture shy or dangerous wildlife—such as garden eels, mouth-brooding cardinalfish, swimming Komodo dragons, sea snakes, sharks, and crocodiles—while maintaining a safe distance. The encrypted signal will make sure the camera will not be falsely trigger by  ambient light or light from other divers, such as torch , strobes etc..

3. Optical Signal Domes

Flanking the main body are two fisheye domes housing massive 40-watt blue LED emitters. These cast encrypted blue signals across a wide  arc, capable of penetrating water up to 15 meters away at standard depths (10–20 meters), reaching the strobe or video light, provide reliable remote control.

• On the S-Version: Triggers off-camera strobes wirelessly with zero lag.

• On the V-Version: Remotely adjusts the power levels of Artemis video lights.

• Both signals are encrypted to ensure that strobes and video lights are not falsely triggered or disrupted by ambient sunlight or other nearby light sources."

4. Dual-Stage Tactile Button Control

The body features an intuitive three-button layout. The primary trigger button utilizes a tactile, two-stage mechanism:

• Half-Press: Actuates the camera's half-press function to lock focus and exposure.

• Full-Press: Triggers the shutter to capture the shot instantly.

5. Revolutionary Off-Camera Lighting Effects

For videographers, the Artemis is a game-changer. By allowing you to position your primary light sources far from your camera housing, you can easily eliminate backscatter and create highly stylized, high-contrast scenes. This is perfect for illuminating expansive reefs, dramatic shipwrecks, or separating a distant background from your main subject.

6. Disaster-Proof Isolated Battery Chamber

The battery compartment is completely sealed off from the electronics core. In the unlikely event of a user error causing a flood, water is confined entirely to the battery chamber, protecting the expensive internal main body logic.

• Bulletproof Simplicity: Powered by two 18650 lithium batteries, the chamber cap is locked down by a heavy-duty 6mm screw mechanism. Real-world experience proves that the most reliable designs are the simplest. When you are on a remote island hundreds of miles away from a repair shop, you can trust this failure-free locking mechanism over overly complicated latches.

7. Optically Perfected PC Dome Port

Rather than saving costs with a flat glass window, the Artemis uses a premium, double-sided coated polycarbonate (PC) spherical dome. Flat glass causes severe underwater refraction, which narrows the beam and creates an ugly brown vignette or ring around the outer edge of the light. The spherical PC dome allows light to pass through completely unrefracted, ensuring a beautifully even, flawless beam spread.

8. Market-Leading Compact Footprint

Despite packing massive power and dual-signal functionality, the aluminum chassis is incredibly small. It is more compact than any equivalent-power light on the market, making it effortless to pack, travel with, and mount to your underwater rig.
